{Vest – eBay; Jeans – Ziggy Denim; Tee – Supre; Leopard shirt – vintage; Necklace – Sportsgirl; Bag – Alexander Wang; Boots – New Look}

Chase and I spent our Easter weekend doing the “Great Cat Head Roadtrip of 2012”. We basically grabbed a map, traced the shape of a cat head on it, and followed this throughout country Victoria for a few days. We armed ourselves with disposable cameras so I’ll share some pics once we’ve had them developed. Crazy cat lady? An understatement.

In the meantime, here are some photos from a little abandoned house we came across and naturally had to explore. It wasn’t until we were leaving that a neighbour approached us and told us that a) we should be careful of brown snakes and b) the cows next door had just given birth and would likely charge us, due to their protective maternal instincts. I probably wouldn’t have got out of the car had I known this!

As for what I’m wearing, this vest might be my favourite ever cheap eBay buy and I haven’t taken it off since it arrived. It’s super soft – as in strangers keep coming up and patting me – and it goes with absolutely everything. The ultimate layering piece – over a leather biker jacket, a long sleeve dress, t-shirt and leggings combo, anything!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend too! xx

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh hahahahahaaaa I have visions of cows charging at you hahahaahahaaa

    Love the look of your fur vest, there is nothing better than some faux fur especially on a freezing day like today.

      Hahahaha please don’t visualise that! I actually said to Chase at one point, “Oh look- how funny! The cows are watching us take pictures!” Oh my god, they were actually gearing up for a battle, haha. xxx

    Oh man. This is an embarrassing confession, but the title of this post is pushing me forward.. I’ve followed you since your diaryland days, and we used to talk about Idlewild (but only a handful of times, so obviously you wouldn’t remember me).

      Cat, that is crazy! Firstly I am so embarrassed that ANYONE has seen my diaryland. Secondly, I definitely remember talking Idlewild with you! What was your diaryland username? Or were you on Livejournal? My love for Idlewild has not waned. I seriously can’t believe you’ve seen my diaryland days though.. thank you so much for still reading!!! xxx

        It wasn’t embarrassing! I remember loving your html layouts. Hum, I can’t remember my dland because I’m so capricious with usernames and have had so many. I’m still crazy for them as well, embarrassing email and tattoo from their songs and all. You also turned me onto Phoenix. Let me just stop sounding like a Sam fangirl, sorry.

          Aww haha thank you so much! I will have to start following your new tumblr! Gosh I have gone through so many blogging platforms, I have probably tried them all so I totally know what you mean. I can’t believe you have an Idlewild tattoo, but I would seriously consider a Phoenix one so I get it.. :D Thanks so much for popping out of the woodwork and dropping me a line, it’s really nice to hear from you! xx

    I love the vest! It’s gotten so cold today in Sydney all of a sudden, so that vest is looking extra cozy to me :) xx

    Omg that roadtrip sounds like the most amazing thing ever. You traced the shape of a cat head on the map and followed it? I’m so charmed by that xx
