EVERYDAY I’M TUMBLING.

{Images via Topshop Tumblr}

Topshop has one of the best use’s of tumblr for retail brands that I have seen and is definitely one of my favourite places to look for outfit inspiration. Here are just a few of the perfectly put-together looks that have caught my eye lately. Their style snappers sure know how to spot a well dressed babe! Also, I think I need to move to London, stat. Though I’m not sure how these women walk in heels on those cobblestone roads.

BEHIND THE SCENES: CANDICE LAKE X SPORTSGIRL

{Images by me, for Sportsgirl}

I recently had the pleasure of going behind the scenes on the latest Sportsgirl campaign shoot, which was shot by street style genius Candice Lake in the colourful laneways of Melbourne. My behind the scenes photos have just popped up on Oyster Magazine online, so I thought I’d share them here with you guys too.

Candice and I had communicated regularly over e-mail due to her guest blogging for Sportsgirl online, however this was the first time I had had the pleasure of meeting the lady in person. You can believe all the hype as I can tell you she is gorgeous, bubbly and fun – and very, very sweet.

You’ll also recognise a few familiar faces in the upcoming campaign, such as the lovely Jasmin and Annie-Rose. Can’t wait for the final photos to be released, if you love Candice’s street style work, then you’re truly going to fall in love with this campaign. Hope you enjoy these piccies!

BLACK LACE.

 {Lace skirt – c/o Mossman Clothing; Lace top & belt – vintage; Bag – Alexander Wang; Cuff – eBay}

I had been on the prowl for a pencil skirt of some kind for awhile and had tried many on with no luck. They all seemed to emphasise the wrong things and most made my legs look stumpy. Luckily for me, this little gem from Mossman hugs in the right places and feels beautiful to wear. The skirt is actually made up of two layers, with the top being the intricate stretch lace. I’m also in love with the emerald green shade which forms the lining – I think it’s one of the first colours I have found to really suit my hair colour.

I paired the skirt with a vintage lace top because I wanted it to look a bit more sassy than secretary, but it could have easily worked with a loose silk shirt or even a vintage band tee for something more casual.

PASTEL PERFECT.

{Images via We Heart It, Nasty Gal, ASOS & Tumblr}

I am not sure when “pretty pastels” became such an important part of my vocabulary but these pictures have me in a candy-coloured daze. Totally obsessed with the idea of a wardrobe full of faded rainbows and lilac Persian cats. Maybe this is the season I finally stop wearing so much black? Highly unlikely, but I will definitely be incorporating some softer hues, starting right now.
