If I had to wear one outfit for the rest of my life on repeat, it would possibly be something along these lines (although of course, ask my on any other day, and my answer would most likely change). Bell bottom flares, a drapey kimono complete with twirling-fun fringing and a vintage tank that pays homage to one of my all-time favourite bands, Fleetwood Mac.

Amy and I snapped these pics ever-so quickly before a gig at the Prince of Wales, we were a little hypnotised by the electric bright wall of pinks and oranges. We were both wearing our favourite flares, just another sign we’re sisters from other mister’s (who clearly both belong in another era).

#BOMSTYLE

December 16, 2014

CLICK HERE & “HEART” MY PIC TO HELP ME WIN! :)

Calling in all favours! I’m super excited to be a finalist in Bank of Melbourne’s amazing #BoMStyle competition in collaboration with the incredible Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at NGV.

With a $5000 shopping spree up for grabs, it’s safe to say that my lovely Jacqui and I would really love to win. We spent all afternoon collecting fresh flowers and leaves and then hauled them to the shopping centre to decorate this bench for our photo. It’s now down to a public vote, so please take a few moments to click this link here and “heart” my photo. We’ll be ever so grateful! Much love.

DFO SHOPPER OF THE YEAR.

July 21, 2014

{Pants – Veronica Maine at Cue; Shirt – Cotton On; Clogs – Windsor Smith; Hat – Forever New; Clutch – Kate Hill; Necklace & Rings: Equip; Photos by Jacqui Tzaras}

So if you had $200 and only 45 minutes, what outfit would you style? This is exactly what DFO’s Shopper of the Year competition is all about. I entered on a whim and made it to the semi-finals where we were all let loose to run around the mall like a bunch of crazy people, literally pulling on items and clothes and sprinting from store to store, before reporting back to be judged by some of the team at Bauer mags.

This is what I managed to pull together in the 45 minutes we were given – time, which may I add, absolutely flew by. I was pretty stoked to find these incredible wide-leg pants at Cue, the last pair, which miraculously happened to be my size. I didn’t really have a plan or trend in mind, but somehow ended up looking like I might just step off the stage and onto my yacht. A sunny clutch finished this transeasonal look, plus some yellow gold accessories.

I may not have won, but I sure did have fun thinking on my feet and seeing what the other contestants pulled together. One point was definitely proven and that is you can actually find an entire outfit head-to-toe and still have some coin left in the bank. Win!

WHAT’S IN MY BEAUTY BAG & A GIVEAWAY.

Style Paws What's In My Beauty Bag

One of my favourite types of blog posts is always having a good snoop into what other girls use in their beauty routines, so I thought I’d share a few of my every day must-have favourites. Working in the beauty retail industry, this is definitely not everything I own – by a long shot – but it does pretty much cover my average routine.

Plus, thanks to my friends at Suvana Organic, I have a little giveaway for you guys!

  1. Beauty Bag – Seed Heritage: I can’t go past a bit of leopard print, especially this washed-out ‘just off to the Hamptons’ type.
  2. Necklace – Sportsgirl: It’s new (got it in their mid-year sale for $9.95), so just thought I’d throw that in.
  3. Perfume – Chanel’s “Coco Madamoiselle”: I am beyond obsessed with this fragrance and have at least 4 bottles in use right now. I am thinking of adding Coco Noir to my collection next.
  4. Nail Polishes – Chanel: Two of my favourite colours, a dark khaki and a blush pink, these will always be classics.
  5. Illuminator – YSL’s “Touche Eclat”: Not so much an illuminator as it is a miracle worker. It just always makes your eyes and cheekbones look better, I once heard a quote from a makeup artist who said “I’ve never met a woman who doesn’t look better thanks to touche eclat.”
  6. Moisturiser – Kiehl’s “Ultra Facial Cream”: I can honestly say I’ve never found a better moisturiser, your skin instantly feels hydrated. I recently had a skin analysis done and turns out I need even more moisture, so I am going to be switching to their Ultra Hydration Cream next.
  7. Gel Eyeliner – Maybelline’s “Eye Studio”: I’ve tried a million eyeliners (pencil, gel and liquid) but this is the one I love most. It comes with a brush that allows me to control the application easily and layer it on pretty thick. Plus this shit won’t budge until you want it to.
  8. Foundation – Maybelline’s “Fit Me: I am going through a “matte” phase and this foundation has a great shine-free finish.
  9. Lipstick – MAC’s “Fresh Brew”: My favourite lipsticks are by MAC because the colour range and quality is next-level.
  10. Primer – L’Oreal Paris’ “Base Magique”: If you don’t wear a primer already, now is the time to start. It makes your makeup application last a thousand times longer and not get oily or fall.
  11. Blush – Clinique: I like this one as it provides just a hint of a rosy cheek.
  12. Paw Paw – Suvana Organic’s “Paw Paw & Honey Balm”: Paw paw balms are a dime a dozen these days but you have to be careful as there are so many out there with nasty additives, which is why I am obsessed with Suvana Organic’s all-natural option. It feels and smells wonderful.
  13. Hand cream – Aurora Spa’s “Rose & Shea Butter Hand & Cuticle Cream”: You know you’re getting old when you start needing hand cream. This one actually smells incredible and feels so nourishing. I apply it every night before bed.

Giveaway Time!

Thanks to the lovely folk at Suvana Organic, I have five samples of their delicious Paw Paw & Honey Balm to give out to you guys. Seriously, it’s kind of changed my life and I know you will find it to be the best in the market too.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post telling me why I should pick you. Plus, don’t forget to leave your name and e-mail address so I can get in touch if you win. I’ll select the winners on the 7th of June.

Good luck!

Style Paws Sam Sidney Amy Whitfield Maddie O'Gorman Band Photo

{Photos taken by Suzanne Bunn – Post-production by Amy Whitfield}

Oh, so hey guys – on the weekend we started a band. Er, not quite. But you’d be forgiven for thinking so when you see these photos. I’d been eyeing off my boyfriend’s band’s pretty amazing studio for quite some time, so when the guys went away, the girls couldn’t help but play. With the assistance of some sweet tunes and some of our favourite vintage dress-ups, British Indiettes was born. Good way to spend a day… highly recommend. Special thanks to my lovely friends Amy, Maddie and Bunn (and of course British India too).
