{Lace top, sequin skirt, metallic clutch – Sportsgirl; Bangle – eBay; Boots – Jeffrey Campbell}

This is what I wore to another night at LMFF for L’Oreal Paris Runway 1 (presented by Grazia) and L’Oreal Paris presents Alex Perry – hence the sequins, you gotta wear sequins when Alex Perry is involved. The standout designer from the Grazia show for me was Carl Kapp – the most beautiful tonal looks I have seen this festival with amazing hats, coats and two-piece suits that literally had me gasping out loud.

I also popped backstage with the gorgeous Jasmin, Jess, Nicole and Yenny just before the Alex Perry show and was fortunate enough to take a few quick snaps. It sure is hot, crowded and busy back there. “Red carpet glamour” has never been high on my list of fashion interests but you couldn’t help but get caught up in the magic of the collection. Long, floaty princess gowns embellished with intricate flowers, sequins and beading in pretty shades of chartreuse, blush pink and black and white. It was the kind of show where you really daydreamed about where you could swan about in such a frock – your wedding? Your living room? The supermarket?

    Love, love, love the colours in your outfit lady.
    I’m such a sucker for a neutral pallet.

    TBH sometimes (often) I find the backstage photos from shows so much more exciting than the runway shots. You’ve done well to capture these moments, love them.

      Thank you so much Mez, you’re too kind lady. I felt odd wearing a neutral palette – it’s not at all my usual style – but it was a fun change! xx
