Fashion, Thoughts

I was recently invited to try out the “Personal Shopping” service provided at Topshop’s flagship store on Chapel St. As a fairly regular Topshop shopper (more often the window type), I was quite excited to be able to experience the brand in a whole new way. Prior to the appointment, I was asked some basic info about myself such as dress and shoe size & hair and skin colour. I couldn’t help but think this wasn’t much for a stylist to go on and was pretty excited to see what looks would be pulled for me.

It was fun trying on lots of pretty clothes and I definitely felt like a little girl playing dress ups. As a “personal shopper” client you are treated to beautifully decorated changerooms (super spacious!) with refreshments. The service is completely free and there is no obligation to buy – though, I assure you that you will want to!

My stylist had pulled lots of fun pieces for me – some I would never normally look twice at, and some which went straight to the top of my wishlist. Unfortunately the stock at Topshop just flies out the doors as soon as it arrives in store, so there just weren’t the sizes left in some of the pieces I coveted most. I ended up taking home a pale pink boyfriend blazer and a fun gold metallic calf-length crinkle skirt – both are pieces I think I’ll get plenty of wear out of!

Thank you to the team at Topshop and to EVH PR for having us!

Looks like a fab experience!! I’d love to try one day myself. Do you pay extra for this service?

Love, love LOVE the skirt and the patterned pants in the first photo.
I’m such a sucker for printed/patterned pants at the moment.

Oh tell me about it Mez, I am obsessed too. I’m trying to restrain myself from buying too many “trendy” things though incase my love affair ends as quickly as it began! x

Love what you picked out. This looks (and sounds) like such a nice experience. Being introduced to Topshop via their Oxford Circus store has tainted me haha. The calamity! I wish Topshop would hurry up and come to QLD. Serious FOMO happening.

Hey Soph, thank you! Yes their Oxford Circus store is mental isn’t it?! Hopefully Topshop opens up in the rest of Oz soon, otherwise you’ll just need to pop down to Melbourne! ;) xx
